Murcutt Lewin Lark Boyd Education Centre at 'Riversdale' under threat

In April 2016 it was announced by the Bundanon Trust that a competition would be held for several major new buildings to be built at 'Riversdale', on the land so familiar to us all who have been at the Murcutt Master Classes over the years, to be based on a Master Plan prepared by a leading firm of architects. We were, to say the least, astounded to discover that this had all been done, and the competition announced, without reference to Glenn Murcutt, Wendy Lewin or Reg Lark, the designers of the world famous building. Brit Andresen, Richard Leplastrier, Peter Stutchbury and Lindsay Johnston, felt duty bound to raise their objections and concerns. After much deliberation, and some delay in getting the letter published, it has now been published - today.
As you may be aware, it was decided some time ago not to hold the 2016 Murcutt Master Class, and in the light of this very upsetting set of circumstances, it is currently a relief that we are not committed to going to 'Riversdale' in July this year. We are, however, hopeful that we will be able to hold the Glenn Murcutt Master Class with Glenn Murcutt at Riversdale in July 2017.
