“It was an awesome experience. In particular, for me as a senior practitioner who was finding myself more and more distant from the day to day joys of creating architecture because of managerial responsibilities and time constraints, it has helped to dramatically reinvigorate my passion for the craft. My departure from my role as a partner in one of Canada’s largest practices was personally challenging on many levels, even to the point of my questioning whether I want to be an architect anymore. The Master Class allowed a crucial moment of self (re) realization – that I want to continue to do architecture as long as I am able. And, I never again want to find myself caught up in the organizational minutiae of running a practice so much that I lose the visceral pleasure of the act of design. So – thank you for all that!”
