Peter Stutchbury's winning design for extreme climate housing in Russia
Peter Stutchbury and his colleague Richard Smith have been selected winners of the third International Iron and Steel Institute 'Living Steel' Competition that was decided in Finland in June 08. 12 teams were selected from 250 to travel to Finland to complete and present their proposals for prefabricated steel housing for the extreme climate of Russia. Peter Stutchbury will be one of the lead tutors at the New Zealand Architecture Master Class 21-27 September 08, the Architecture Summer School 15-21 February 09 and the ninth Glenn Murcutt International Architecture Master Class to be held again at Glenn's "master work" the Boyd Education Centre 'Riversdale' on the banks of the Shoalhaven River south of Sydney 12-26 July 09. He will be joined on all events by Richard Leplastrier, recipient of the 04 Spirit of Nature Wood Architecture Award (Finland), other winners of which hve been Renzo Piano, Kengo Kuma and Peter Zumthor.
