Leplastrier RIBA Honour

It has been announced that Richard Leplastrier, seminal Australian architect and great teacher, has been named as an Honorary International Fellow of the RIBA in the list of eminent architects from around the world to receive the 2015 honour. Other recipients include Emilio Ambasz, Thom Mayne, Antoine Predock, Peter Rich, and fellow Australian Peter Wilson with Julia Bolles. Richard Leplastrier was also recipient of the 2004 Spirit of Nature Wood Architecture Award in Finland and the Dreyer Foundation Prize of Honour 2009, the first time the award was made to an architect from outside Denmark, an award made to architects ‘who have made a difference’. 

Richard leplastrier is a principal tutor on the two-week residential Murcutt International Master Class held in Australia each July, now proceeding to its 15th year.
